Arthur Ortiz, Class XXXIII

Arthur Ortiz has 22 years of experience and serves as the Vice President for Enrollment & Student Engagement at a top-tier regional university, the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. He has served as a higher education executive as VP for Enrollment Management, VP for Marketing, and VP for Enrollment & Student Engagement (Student Affairs). Arthur has presented and spoken at many state, regional, and national conferences on various topics within higher education. He leads a motivated and talented team of approximately 70 team members. His main areas of focus include enrollment strategies and trends, staff development, work culture development. student development, strategic vision, and applying organization models from outside industries to higher education. Arthur’s education formation is in Mathematics, Behavioral Science/Psychology, and he is a certified Emotional Intelligence Life Coach. He is a Leadership Houston Class XXXIII fellow. He served on the National Catholic College Admission Association Board from 2014-2019 as treasurer most of his tenure. He is also a member of Highrise Networks/ Mastermind Group Houston I.
